London 1969: planning your payphone jobs
Learn the traffic, score structure and vehicle handovers before tackling longer chains.
Learn the city first
London 1969 keeps the original game’s score-driven structure but demands a new mental map. Explore Chelsea, Soho and the Thames crossings deliberately. An arrow pointing across the river does not mean the road ahead leads to a bridge. Left-hand traffic also changes how you approach turns and junctions, so take the first few slowly. For exploration, choose a vehicle with a braking distance you understand. A controlled detour along a familiar main road can be more useful than an untested shortcut between buildings.
Treat jobs as chains
Walk over a ringing phone to accept a job. Subsequent calls, deliveries and vehicle changes can belong to the same assignment. Read the next instruction completely after each handover. Deliver a required vehicle into its marked garage rather than stopping beside it. In the scooter opening, Southeast Soho is the important actual destination even though the dialogue mentions Mile End. Resolve these disagreements through the map and the objective itself. Our walkthroughs identify the chapter and phone specifically so that similar London jobs do not become mixed together.
Prepare the next attempt
Before a difficult job, remember service shops, police-bribe pickups and usable garage approaches. Clear unnecessary pursuits before collecting a vehicle you must preserve. When a countdown is already running, deal with the current objective and leave optional exploration for later. After a failed attempt, note the junction that caused trouble so that a fresh chapter run improves something specific. PC players can rebind controls and adjust text speed in the options. PlayStation players should use their edition’s button assignments rather than copying PC shortcuts. The accompanying solutions cover two selected assignments, not every phone chain in the expansion.
