GTA 6: release date, platforms and essential answers

When is GTA VI coming out?

Rockstar lists 19 November 2026 as the release date. This is an announced date; it does not mean the game has already launched. This article was checked on 7 November 2026. Before making a purchase, revisit the official game page in case the information changes.

Which platforms are listed?

The official page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not currently give a PC release date. The gaps between earlier GTA console and PC releases cannot establish a reliable date for a future PC version.

Your pre-launch checklist

A little preparation can make launch day easier. These are editorial recommendations, not official system requirements.

• Check that the store listing is for your console and the edition you intend to buy.
• Compare included content rather than relying on an edition name.
• Update your console and controller software.
• Check the storage requirement shown in the store before downloading. We do not substitute an estimate for an official figure.
• If you want to avoid spoilers, disable automatic video previews in your social feeds.

What comes after launch?

We plan to add practical beginner guides, mission walkthroughs and collectible guides once their steps can be checked in the released game. Until then, this hub focuses on sourced information and the history of the series.
