Health and a useful save

After the opening missions, establish a simple routine: save, restore health, check armour and find an appropriate vehicle. Food helps CJ but does not replace preparation for a shootout. Pay attention to his physical development too. Improving stamina makes sustained running easier, although there is no need to maximise every statistic before continuing the story.

Understand skills through practical use

San Andreas develops several statistics through use. Driving practice improves vehicle skills and appropriate weapon use increases weapon proficiency. That does not mean an arbitrary training session automatically solves every mission. Positioning and sufficient ammunition remain essential.

  1. Keep a separate save before long mission strands. It preserves a calm starting point if a later attempt costs money or equipment.
  2. Use a car for dependable travel and motorcycles when an assignment requires them. Avoid unnecessary crashes before reaching the actual objective area.
  3. Check your weapon and its useful range before a shootout. Use walls and building corners to break enemy sightlines rather than standing exposed.
  4. Look after passengers and companions. Their firing angle or survival often depends more on where you position the vehicle than on your maximum speed.
  5. Explore new regions as the story opens them. A road appearing physically accessible does not mean every part of the state is already safe to visit without consequences.

Separate story progress from extra goals

Schools, collectibles and businesses serve different purposes. In particular, Zero’s RC strand is optional for the story ending but required for a complete 100% run. If a specialist vehicle is becoming frustrating, tackle other available assignments first. The original and Definitive Edition differ in targeting and retry features. Adjust camera sensitivity before difficult pursuits. A walkthrough should match your edition: old RC advice sometimes describes fuel behaviour that is not universal. Learn the displayed controls instead of assuming a console button combination also applies to a keyboard.
