Requirements, aircraft and objectives
Avery Carrington offers this assignment at his Vice Point construction site after “Four Iron”. Once briefed, walk or drive to the marked Top Fun van opposite the unfinished building. Entering the van gives you control of an RC Goblin. That model name is correct here; the RC Raider is used in a different RC activity. Deliver four bombs separately: one to the ground floor and one each to the first, second and third floors above it. There is no additional basement objective. A central staircase connects the levels. This assignment is optional for the story ending but required for 100% completion.
Use the preparation window before taking a bomb
The countdown starts when you collect your first bomb, not when you enter the van or first fly inside the building. Explore without a payload. Test climbing, descending, forward pitch and turning separately. Over the clear area, practise moving a short distance and settling into a near-stationary hover. Holding forward pitch continuously quickly causes trouble in the stairwell. Align the Goblin before a passage, move forward briefly, then release the forward input. Near a ceiling edge, gain only the height needed for the next opening. Locate the orange boards and pink target markers on the upper floors during this reconnaissance rather than discovering them against the clock.
How pickup and placement work
Fly low beside a bomb near the van until it attaches to the Goblin. You do not need a separate loading command, and the aircraft carries only one bomb at a time. Placement is different: use the displayed drop action. The destination is the barrel inside the pink marker. Reduce sideways movement above it, check your alignment and then release the payload. A low, stable hover is more dependable than dropping during a fast turn. Confirm success through the message or remaining-objective counter. A bomb incorrectly dropped onto solid ground can be collected again. Losing a bomb in the water instead fails the mission.
Step-by-step route: finish on the highest floor
Any order is allowed. This route works from the ground floor upwards, avoiding the return journey from the highest objective after the final delivery. Starting at the top also works, but is not inherently faster.
- During the untimed preparation, enter the building and locate the main staircase. Remember the direct route back across the road to the bombs.
- Identify all four placement points without carrying anything. The ground-floor target is beside the main stairs. On each upper floor, look for the orange board and target barrel behind it. Use the pink marker for final orientation: screen-right changes with your camera direction.
- Return to the van, point the nose towards the construction site and collect your first bomb. The displayed countdown now begins.
- Carry it to the ground-floor barrel beside the stairs. Settle inside the pink marker, use the drop action and confirm that the placement registers.
- Collect bomb two. Follow the central stairs to the first floor above ground, locate the orange board and place the bomb over that floor’s target barrel.
- Collect bomb three and climb to the second floor. Use the same staircase and landing reference rather than entering an arbitrary exterior opening and searching afterwards.
- Collect the fourth bomb and reach the third floor. Leave clearance below the ceiling on the approach and place the payload at the remaining barrel.
- The fourth confirmed placement starts the demolition sequence. You do not have to fly back to the van or rescue the Goblin from the building before the explosion.
Manage enemies and accumulated damage
Construction workers attack with hammers, while security guards can shoot. Before collecting a bomb, you can use the rotor against enemies to reduce interference during the deliveries. This is an option, not a requirement for normal mission completion. Approach individual opponents deliberately: striking pillars and walls indiscriminately damages the Goblin too. Untimed preparation does not make the aircraft invulnerable. If it is already heavily smoking, a clean restart can be more productive than forcing four deliveries under fire. Do not spend the whole practice window on combat if your actual difficulty is navigating the stairs.
Diagnose the failed attempt
Change the cause of a failure rather than simply pressing every control faster on the next attempt.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Correction |
|---|---|---|
| The drop does not count. | The bomb misses the barrel or marker. | Collect it again, stop drifting and release directly over the target barrel. |
| You repeatedly hit the ceiling. | Climb and forward pitch are held together for too long. | Line up before the landing; correct height and forward movement with short inputs. |
| The Goblin breaks early. | Repeated impacts or prolonged exposure to armed guards. | Explore with wider clearances and deal with troublesome guards individually before carrying bombs. |
| Little time remains for the last delivery. | Searching and unnecessary return journeys. | Locate the targets before the first pickup and leave the highest delivery until last. |
Original, mobile and Definitive Edition
Older guides give 7:00 for the classic PC and console releases; the mission documentation specifically records 7:30 for the original mobile versions. The updated iGrandTheftAuto walkthrough also shows a 7:30 instruction, without providing a complete platform-and-patch breakdown. A single countdown value for every Definitive Edition device is therefore not established here. Follow the countdown displayed in your edition and budget for seven minutes to leave a margin. The first bomb pickup remains the trigger. For keyboard, controller and touch, use the displayed bindings rather than copying an old PS2 button list unchanged.
FAQ: must every enemy die, and must I use this order?
Normal completion depends on placing the bombs, without a separate requirement to eliminate every enemy. Clearing them can make transport safer but rotor attacks also expose the Goblin to damage. Bomb order is unrestricted. If you already fly top-to-bottom reliably, there is no need to relearn the whole route. If time is the obstacle, ground-to-top is worth trying because it removes the longest final return trip. Neither approach requires a cheat or an external modification.
