Starting and preparing
Complete Welcome to the Troupe, then start the next First Dose job at the yellow D / circle outside the Freakshop. One to four players can participate. Fooligan Jobs requested by phone are a different job type. Bring ammunition, armour and snacks for the roadside and clubhouse fights. Travel to the docks, where you change into a tractor unit. The later search takes place on foot; simply delivering a trailer does not finish this mission.
Understand the objective changes
The journey begins as a supply delivery but changes into retaliation after the Lost attack. Do not deliberately damage the trailer to force that transition early: destroying it before the intended stage can fail the job.
| Phase | Location / vehicle | Progress |
|---|---|---|
| Collection | Jetsam Terminal; tractor unit and trailer | Attach the supply trailer |
| Departure | Lost roadblock and bridge back towards Cypress Flats | The subsequent fire requires detaching |
| Retaliation | Lost clubhouse, East Vinewood | Secure the compound and interior |
| Search | Plans, bag and weed inside the clubhouse | Send the photo; collect the loot |
| Escape | Clubhouse exit → Freakshop | Deal with more enemies and deliver the loot |
Step by step
Follow the current instruction after each interaction. A picture sitting in the phone gallery or a previously cleared courtyard is not confirmation of the next objective.
- Drive from the Freakshop to Jetsam Terminal in the Los Santos docks. Find a suitable truck cab with an available trailer coupling, such as a Packer when present. An ordinary truck with a fixed cargo body cannot perform this role.
- Take the truck cab to the marked trailer of party supplies. Align straight in front of it and reverse slowly until the coupling connects. Check that the trailer follows when you pull away before manoeuvring through the terminal exit.
- Begin the requested return to the Freakshop and expect a Lost roadblock at the exit. Keep the combination mobile and leave room for the trailer’s turning path. Avoid gunfire or explosions immediately beside the cargo.
- After the roadblock and bridge journey, the supplies catch fire as part of the scripted sequence. Watch the new instruction and condition bar. Use the displayed detach action before that bar drains completely.
- Immediately drive the truck cab away from the detached trailer. Do not try to drag the burning supplies to the obsolete delivery marker. Let Dax’s follow-up register, then head for the replacement destination: the Lost clubhouse in East Vinewood.
- At the clubhouse, fight the enemies in the compound from cover. Watch the road as well, since more motorcycles can approach. Then reach the indicated building entrance towards the rear of the property and wait for the interior objective.
- Clear the entrance and adjoining rooms carefully. Check the minimap before crossing a doorway. Search for the plans pinned to a wall board; rooms beside the bar are a useful first search area rather than checking only the large main room.
- Open the phone camera and frame the plans on the wall. Take the picture and send it to Dax using the action offered on screen. Wait for the mission to accept the image and switch to the next search objective.
- Find the requested bag next. Check the bar counter, which is a documented position, and follow the active search indication. Photographing the plans does not automatically collect the bag for you.
- With the bag, collect the marked weed from the tables. Complete the currently displayed loot objectives. In cooperative play, the number of stacks to collect can differ from a solo walkthrough; follow your shared mission progress.
- Prepare your weapon, health and armour before going outside. More Lost appear at the exit after the looting stage. Leave carefully, eliminate enemies blocking access to your vehicle, and establish a safe departure route.
- Deliver the loot to the Freakshop. You do not need to retrieve the earlier party-supply trailer. Reach the current delivery marker and wait for mission completion before leaving the job or session.
Detaching, photographs and cooperative coordination
With default bindings, hold H on PC or hold D-pad right on a controller to detach the trailer. With custom bindings, use your own on-screen prompt; a brief tap is not the same as the required held input. Keep the truck reasonably straight after coupling so that you can drive it away from the burning trailer promptly when detaching. Inside the clubhouse, careful positioning matters more than rushing: secure your viewing direction before standing in a room with the phone camera open. Avoid having everyone photograph the same wall while an enemy still controls the doorway. In a team, one player can handle the image while the others cover; collect the subsequent loot according to the active objective. A published bag position is a search aid, rather than a reason to ignore a different location marked in your own attempt.
Diagnosis table
Separate the intended scripted transition from actual premature destruction or an unconfirmed search interaction.
| Problem | Possible cause | Correction |
|---|---|---|
| The trailer will not attach | Wrong vehicle type or misaligned coupling | Use a suitable tractor unit and reverse straight into position |
| The fire repeatedly ends the attempt | Detaching too late or only tapping the input | Prepare the held action, watch the bar and drive away after releasing the trailer |
| The game no longer directs you to the Freakshop | The fire replaced the supply delivery | Follow the new clubhouse objective instead of trying to save the old cargo |
| The photo does not advance progress | Poor framing or the image was not sent | Photograph the board clearly, send it to Dax and wait for acknowledgement |
| Loot is still missing after collecting the bag | Not all active weed objectives are complete | Check the task display and remaining markers throughout the search area |
| The escape fails immediately outside | More Lost appeared after collection | Restock before exiting and clear the route to your vehicle first |
FAQ: completion, retrying and editions
Does the fire mean failure? The intended fire starts the clubhouse stage; destroying the trailer prematurely is different. Must I buy a vehicle? No: use a suitable terminal truck cab, then complete the interactions. No payout is guaranteed: difficulty, scoring and temporary bonuses can change earnings. After failure, use the offered retry and reread the active objective; do not assume a manually saved checkpoint after the photo. The sequence applies to PC Legacy/Enhanced, PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Series X|S. PC friends need the same edition because Legacy and Enhanced are separate. Follow current control prompts. Confirmed loot delivery opens Fatal Incursion; the photograph alone does not finish Designated Driver.
Source-researched; no own playthrough. Rockstar documentation, mission-specific guides and a video reference explicitly published as a Solo/Hard run were compared. The mission sequence belongs to Los Santos Drug Wars; Rockstar’s edition notice distinguishes PC Enhanced from Legacy. No fixed payout or temporary bonus is promised.
