Starting, preparing and understanding the objective

Welcome to the Troupe opens the First Dose story in Los Santos Drug Wars. Ron contacts you about the new arrivals at Liquor Ace in Sandy Shores; begin at the associated meeting point. The meeting and introduction lead directly into a Lost MC attack. The job supports one to four players and can be completed solo. You do not need to own an Acid Lab at this stage. Restock ammunition, snacks and armour before starting, and bring a dependable automatic weapon. For a first clear, surviving matters more than selecting the highest difficulty. The route below does not depend on owning a weaponised special vehicle.

Three locations and their triggers

The objective RV is Dax’s Journey II. Some mission text shortens this to “Journey”; you need the designated vehicle at Millar’s Fishery. The two later stops serve different purposes.

Step by step

The job switches between defence, boat or road travel, and protecting a delivery vehicle. Leave for the next section only after the relevant objective has registered.

  1. Begin the Liquor Ace meeting and let the introduction play. When the attack starts, remain in the defence area. Do not leave to chase the stolen RV while the initial gunfight is still the active objective.
  2. Fight the approaching Lost from cover at the windows and upper outdoor positions. Attack directions change: check the other sides of the building and eventually the storefront entrance. Use the minimap to identify remaining enemies.
  3. Once the defence is complete, approach the marked Dax. Wait for the instruction to recover his stolen RV. The travel objective begins now; killing a single attacker does not finish the whole defensive stage.
  4. For the direct crossing, use the supplied Suntrap near The Boat House / abandoned marina on the Alamo Sea’s southern shore. Head for the marked fishery across the water and disembark on accessible shoreline. Alternatively, drive around the lake on the road; using the boat is not compulsory.
  5. At Millar’s Fishery, deal with the Lost guarding the Journey II. Prioritise the shooters covering your approach to its driving door. Keep grenades and other explosions away from the objective RV. Enter once you have a clear route to it.
  6. Drive the Journey II back to Sandy Shores by road. Watch its condition bar. Lost vehicles and motorcycles can attack during the return, including around R. L. Hunter & Sons in Grapeseed. Avoid turning this into a prolonged roadside battle beside the RV.
  7. Stop the recovered RV at Dax’s Liquor Ace pickup point. Let him actually board. Depart only once the destination changes to the abandoned warehouse; hearing his conversation is not itself reliable confirmation that he is inside.
  8. Take Dax to the marked Los Santos warehouse in the Journey II. Expect more pursuers along the way. Brake for tight corners and avoid risky jumps in the cumbersome RV; delivering the objective vehicle intact matters more than saving a few metres.
  9. Drive into the destination marker and let the concluding scene and success notification finish. This establishes the new base as the Freakshop and allows the story to continue with Designated Driver. Do not leave the session merely because you have reached the building.

Solo RV protection and cooperative roles

Before entering the RV, you can eliminate enemies from a stable covered position; after entering, vehicle condition becomes the bottleneck. Drive with the next corner in mind and avoid letting every motorcycle draw you into a detour. Fighting pursuers is a way to make progress safely, rather than an instruction to stop at every junction. Braking before a turn helps prevent the RV ending sideways against a wall and taking more fire while you correct it. In a team, nominate one driver. Others can help clear access to the RV and nearby pursuers, but should avoid explosives directly beside it. Split your viewing directions during the store defence rather than all watching the same cleared yard. Use cover for reloading and restoring health as well as shooting.

Diagnose before restarting unnecessarily

When progress appears stuck, check the exact objective text. Several problems come from skipping a phase transition rather than choosing the wrong route.

The store defence will not endAre Lost markers still on another building side or by the entrance?Check the remaining approaches from cover; do not leave prematurely
The boat seems absent or the crossing failsIs recovery active, and are you at the marked shore?Check the current objective; use the documented road route around the lake if necessary
Dax will not boardAre you in the correct Journey II at the pickup point?Stop under control, leave boarding space and wait for the objective change
The Journey II is destroyed in transitExcess gunfire, collisions or your own explosions? When retrying is offered, clear the recovery area better and prioritise onward travel
Reaching the warehouse does not finish the jobIs Dax inside, and have you actually reached the delivery marker?Drive the mission RV fully into the drop-off area and wait for the scene

FAQ: unlocks, retrying and editions

Does this one mission unlock an operational Acid Lab? No. It establishes the Freakshop and Dax’s continuing story; the lab requires later First Dose steps and equipment. Are Fooligan Jobs requested by phone the same mission strand? No, they are a separate job type. Follow the First Dose start point at the Freakshop for mission two. What happens after failure? Use the retry offered by the job and reread the active objective afterwards; you cannot create a freely chosen manual save inside the Online mission. A random replacement RV cannot fulfil the objective if the Journey II is destroyed. The mission is available on PC Legacy and Enhanced, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. PC Legacy and Enhanced have separate player pools, so check your game versions before inviting friends. Inputs depend on your device and configuration. Payouts and event bonuses can change; historical launch-week bonus figures are not a promise of current earnings.

How this guide was checked

Source-researched; no own playthrough. Rockstar documentation, mission-specific guides and a video reference explicitly published as a Solo/Hard run were compared. The mission sequence belongs to Los Santos Drug Wars; Rockstar’s edition notice distinguishes PC Enhanced from Legacy. No fixed payout or temporary bonus is promised.
